Feasibility Study to utilise the courtyard of the stables used by the Royal College of Music and Drama. The stables were designed by William Burges for the 3rd marquis of Bute in 1874.
The brief was set for a public library and private practice rooms . The main idea is to create fluid landscapes for public use with two sculptural horizontal layers. The upper landscape is private individual working spaces. The space between two landscapes is the public library which is access from the first floor. Private functions such as practice rooms and rehearsal studios are hidden under the public music library. In collaboration with Cardiff University.
