'...exactly the sort of thing that students should be building in universities with design and architecture courses.'
St Marylebone Society

Thanks to the generous funding from the Quintin Hogg Trust and in collaboration with the Fabrication Laboratory, Weber Industries and Structural Mode our studio has designed and constructed a 1:1 pavilion at the rear podium of Westminster University.

The design of the Oculus Pavilion is a circular structure framing specific views into the sky. Models have been laser cut at scale 1:20 and 1:10, helping to develop the design process. A 1:1 prototype of three ribs of the structure has been built and cladding is currently being tested. The design has been developed via Grasshopper software and all structural elements will be CNC cut in the Fablab of Westminster University.
