​Redevelopment of St John’s Precinct in Blackpool, 
Winning competition entry and commission

The proposal introduces the shared-space principle creating a platform for events in addition to seating, soft landscaping and a water feature.

The focal point of the scheme is the New Horizon sculpture, a spiral-like stainless steel work with a mirrored surface capturing the light from the sky and sea. The large-scale sculpture is seen as an attractor to draw in visitors from the seaside to the city centre of Blackpool, strengthening the local community; in collaboration with leit-werk
